Unlike captains and lieutenants who focus on technical leadership and performance, the TCC role emphasizes community building and team spirit. The position requires dedication to creating an inclusive and positive team environment through social initiatives and effective communication.
Being the TCC is a secondary leadership position. It doesn’t have the same requirements or responsibilities as captains and lieutenants.
The Team Community Coordinator (TCC) plays a vital role in fostering a sense of community and unity within the team. They are responsible for planning and organizing various team events and activities that promote bonding and camaraderie among team members. This includes coordinating social gatherings, team-building exercises, and other interactive events. Specific tasks are name sign assignments/check-ins, team bonding events and activities (both in and out of practice), and keeping the team updated about the progress of these activities.
Additionally, the TCC ensures effective communication within the team. They act as a liaison between team members, facilitating the exchange of event information, updates, and announcements. The TCC may also be responsible for maintaining team communication channels, such as group chats or email lists, to ensure everyone stays informed and engaged.
Overall, the TCC serves as a key support figure for the team, helping to create a positive and inclusive team environment through their organizational skills and event planning expertise.
As a reminder, the TCC responsibilities are not the same as captains and lieutenants. You do not have the same oversight and responsibilities as them. Captains and lieutenants are solely focused on creating a strategic vision for the team and leading in competitive performances. Your role as the TCC is to enhance team camaraderie and ensure effective communication among team members. This includes organizing team-building activities, facilitating information exchange, and maintaining team communication channels. Remember, your contributions are invaluable in fostering a positive and inclusive team environment.
